Cragnolin Engineering and Design Associates, D.P.C. is a site/civil/structural design consulting firm, capable of providing clients with a variety of engineering services.

Cragnolin Design provides structural engineering services in the highly specialized area of Cold-Formed Steel Framing (CFSF) analysis and design of both low and mid-sized commercial structures. Utilizing groundbreaking industry software, we seek to move toward “Intelligent Structural Modeling.” Cragnolin Design currently maintains membership with the Cold-Formed Steel Engineers Institute (CFSEI).

We are determined to become a leader in “Intelligent Infrastructure” implementing structural modeling from project inception. Committed to our professional endeavor of utilizing the most accurate and thorough technology available for “Integrated Project Delivery,” we proceed with the proper tools used to plan, design, construct, and maintain the infrastructure of tomorrow.

Ms. Melanie Cragnolin PE, President and Structural Engineer, established Cragnolin Design Associates in May of 2009 having acquired experience while working on numerous large-scale infrastructure projects in and around New York City. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Architectural Engineering from Drexel University, and a Master of Science in Engineering Management, and is a licensed Professional Engineer in the states of Connecticut and New York.

Mr. Peter A. Cragnolin, Vice President, Landscape Designer, and Certified Arborist, has extensive design and construction experience on several public works projects for a variety of clients. In addition to major rehabilitation projects throughout New York City, he has played a major role in local community projects throughout Nassau and Suffolk Counties. Mr. Cragnolin has created conceptual design alternatives for public spaces, private residences, municipalities, and university grounds. Work has also included horticulture and plant identification, digital and hand graphic rendering, site design, master planning, urban design, sustainable design, storm-water management design and development of related construction documents. Mr. Cragnolin holds a Bachelor of Art in English and Fine Art from Dickinson College, and a Master of Science in Landscape Design from Columbia University.

At Cragnolin Design we provide our clients with a variety of engineering services, including conceptual, preliminary, and final design, generation of drawings and related construction documents. We provide a comprehensive approach to the art and design of the built environment.
